Terms of Service
Effective: [Effective date]
Please read these terms before you use Invitly. By creating an account, buying a plan or posting on an invitation, you accept them.
Who we are
Invitly is run by [Legal business name], [Business address] ("Invitly", "we", "us").
Invitly lets you create a digital invitation, publish it on its own link and share it. Your guests open the link with no account, answer, post photos, videos, voice notes and stickers, and can pitch in toward a gift.
These terms, the rules for what goes on an invitation, the refund policy and the privacy policy together are the agreement between you and Invitly.
Who can use Invitly
To create an account and buy a plan you must be 18 or older.
Guests need no account. A guest must be 13 or older to post. A parent or guardian may post photos of their own child.
Your account
- An account belongs to one person. Do not share it.
- Keep your password and your sign-in safe. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
- Use an email address that works: we send your receipts and important notices there.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the rules.
What you buy
You buy a plan for one invitation, and you pay for it once. It is not a subscription. The price never depends on how many guests you invite.
What a plan includes is what our pricing page showed when you bought it. A later change to our plans does not change what you already bought.
You can move an invitation to a higher plan by paying the difference, and you can add single extras on top of a plan.
Prices are in US dollars. Taxes, if any apply, are shown on the payment page before you pay. Payments are taken by our payment provider; Invitly never sees or stores your card number.
Free drafts
You can build and preview an invitation for free, within limits: an unpaid draft can be built with AI up to 3 times.
A draft that was never paid for and that nobody has touched for 90 days is deleted with its photos. We email you 7 days before that happens, and any change to the draft starts the count again.
How long an invitation stays online
An invitation stays online until 3 months after the event on the Basic plan, 6 months on Plus and 12 months on Premium.
We email the owner 14 days before it closes.
When it closes, the link shows a page saying the invitation has closed. For 14 more days nothing is deleted, and buying a higher plan in that time opens it again. After that, everything guests posted is deleted for good.
Until it closes, the owner can read and download the answers on the link, also while the invitation is taken offline.
Your content
What you create and post stays yours. You give Invitly permission to host it, show it to the people who have the link, resize and convert it, check it (by software and by people), and process it with AI when you ask for that, only to run the service.
That permission ends when the content is deleted, except for what the law requires us to keep, as described in the privacy policy.
If you host an invitation
- You decide who gets the link. Anyone who has it can see the invitation and post on it.
- You must have the right to share everything you upload, including photos of other people.
- You can hide and delete posts, and block a guest from posting.
- Videos and voice notes wait for you before they show. If you switch on "show at once", you take responsibility for what appears.
- You answer to your guests for your invitation and for what you ask of them.
What guests post
Guests must follow the rules for what goes on an invitation. A guest can remove their own posts from the same device they posted from. The host and Invitly can remove any post.
AI
Invitly puts your invitation together with AI, from parts we built and tested, your description and your photos. AI can make mistakes: read your invitation before you publish it.
The number of AI builds is limited per invitation, by plan.
AI photo styles, where an invitation offers them, are only for guests who confirm they are 18 or older.
Pitch-in
Invitly never receives, holds, sends, confirms, cancels or returns money.
Contributions go straight from the guest to the host, through the host's own accounts with other companies, under those companies' terms. The host, not Invitly, decides whether a contribution is shown on the invitation.
Pitch-in is only for personal gifts for the event. It may not be used for a charity, a business, a political cause, a raffle or an investment.
The host answers guests' questions about contributions and handles any return. Guests should send money only to people they know.
Rules and what we may do
Everything on Invitly must follow the rules for what goes on an invitation.
We may hold, hide or remove content, keep it out of sight while we review it, take an invitation down, suspend or close an account, block copies of files we removed, and report to the authorities. We check some content automatically, but we do not promise to watch everything that is posted.
Reports and removal requests
Anyone can report content or ask for its removal on our report page, with no account. We act on a request to remove an intimate image shared without consent within 48 hours.
Copyright notices follow the process on our copyright page. We close the account of anyone who infringes copyright repeatedly.
Other companies' services
An invitation can link to maps, calendars and payment apps, and you can sign in with Google. Those services belong to other companies and follow their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for them.
Ending
You can delete an invitation or your whole account at any time, from the app.
A deleted invitation goes offline at once. Everything in it, and everything of a deleted account, is deleted for good within 30 days. We keep payment records for as long as the law requires.
We may end the service for anyone who breaks these terms.
Our responsibility
Invitly is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it running and your content safe, but we do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors.
To the extent the law allows, Invitly is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us for the invitation concerned.
You are responsible for what you post and for how you use Invitly.
Law, changes and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of [State whose laws apply], United States.
Any dispute will be resolved in [Place for resolving disputes].
If we change these terms, we publish the new version on this page with its date, and we tell account holders about any important change before it takes effect.
These terms take effect on [Effective date].
