Child safety

Effective: [Effective date]

Many invitations are for children's birthdays, baptisms and quinceañeras, so children's photos are part of Invitly. Keeping them safe comes first.

Our position

We do not tolerate any content that sexualises, exploits or endangers a child. It is never allowed on Invitly, in any form, including images made with AI.

What we do

  • Photos, the still image of each video and AI-made images are checked automatically before anyone can see them. What the check flags as possible harm to a child goes only to Invitly's staff, never to the host.
  • A report in the category "A child at risk", made with the report control on an item, hides that item at once from everyone, the host included, until a person at Invitly has reviewed it. We review these reports within 24 hours.
  • Material we confirm is removed from the invitation and kept in restricted storage, as the law requires, for 365 days. We report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
  • Copies of the same file are blocked from being posted again, and we can take down the invitation involved.
  • We work with law enforcement and answer lawful requests.

How to report

On an invitation, use the report control next to the photo, video, voice note, name or sticker. That is the fastest way, because it hides the item at once.

If you cannot open the invitation, use our report page and choose "A child at risk". You do not need an account, and you get a ticket number to quote if you write to us.

If a child is in danger now

Call emergency services first.

For hosts and families

  • Ask a child's parents before posting their photo.
  • As the host, you can hide the guest list and remove any post from your invitation.
  • Share the link only with people you know.
